Watch out LC Prado: 2025 GWM Haval H9 previewed for PH
GWM Philippines showcases upcoming Haval H9 4x4
The refreshed Cannon pickup truck wasn’t the only vehicle GWM Philippines previewed recently. Also previewed by the Luxuriant Automotive Group Inc. (LAGI) is the 2025 Haval H9 4x4 luxury SUV. Set to take on the likes of the BAIC B60 and the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, the boxy yet stylish Haval H9 combines avant-garde looks with luxurious amenities and go-anywhere capability.
Like the 2025 Cannon, the Haval H9 gets a 2.4L turbo-diesel engine and is connected to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Official output figures have yet to be revealed by the automaker, although, based on what the PRC gets, the PH-spec Haval H9 will most likely put out 186 PS and 480 Nm of torque.
It will also be available with the brand’s 6th generation off-road technology like the intelligent torque-on-demand 4WD system complete with locking differentials.
Hop inside, and interested customers will be welcomed in a high-class cabin. It gets tan leather upholstery, a Tank 300-inspired gear selector and center console, a wide touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, tri-zone climate control with rear A/C vents, and power-adjustable front seats.
The Haval H9 also comes with three rows of seats with a 2+3+2 layout, a swing-out tailgate with a spare tire carrier, and a host of parking sensors to keep drivers alert. For peace of mind when going off the beaten path, the Haval H9 boasts a water wading depth of up to 800mm, which is similar to the 2025 Cannon.
Other features and details of the Haval H9 are not yet available as of this writing. But since it will be previewed for the Philippine market, perhaps GWM is polishing its features and equipment list before officially launching it for the local market.
