Seoul 2025: Refreshed Hyundai Ioniq 6 debuts, gets N Line package

Facelifted Hyundai Ioniq 6 revealed with sleeker, more dynamic look

If there was one Hyundai EV that needed a facelift sooner or later, it was the Ioniq 6. Fortunately, Hyundai was thinking the same thing when it made its presence felt at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show.

Making its world debut in the heart of South Korea is the facelifted Ioniq 6, and boy, did it get a glow-up. While some might say the changes are subtle at best, Hyundai focused on the elements that needed to be changed, particularly the front fascia, by giving it more refined curves and enhanced proportions to give it a sleeker appearance.

“Ioniq 6 has evolved from a single Electrified Streamliner into a lineup, each model expressing its own character while staying true to one refined vision. Under the evolved design concept of ‘Pure Flow, Refined,’ we’ve enhanced every line and detail to make IONIQ 6 simpler and more progressive,” said Simon Loasby, senior vice president and Head of the Hyundai Design Center.

Immediately grabbing your attention is the more prominent front end that features a new shark nose-inspired design. This creates a sleek profile that appears to allow the car to cut through the wind while on the move.

Also worth mentioning are the redesigned LED headlights and daytime running lights that now feature a two-tier design to complement the EV's more dynamic look. Rounding up the exterior changes are the wider stance, new chrome garnishes on the front & rear bumpers, and a new extended ducktail spoiler that replaces the pre-facelift spoiler.

As mentioned earlier, Hyundai also revealed the Ioniq 6 N Line, which borrows inspiration from the RN22e Rolling Lab concept from 2022. It gets more sculpted bumpers that highlight its sportier nature and more prominent side sills that further widen (and lower) the EV's stance. Other highlights include the Parametric Pixel lamp design and the extensive use of black color on the rear to give it more zing.

Hop inside, and the 2025 Ioniq 6 maintains the “Mindful Cocoon” concept design, which puts a greater focus on a more comfortable and intuitive user experience. However, Hyundai did give the EV a restyled steering wheel and improved door trim materials for a more premium look and feel. Meanwhile, the center console is now more ergonomic to give drivers better ease of use.

There was no mention of its EV powertrain, although Hyundai more than likely carried over its electric powertrain from the pre-facelift model.

With the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 already revealed, it might not be long before the refreshed EV makes its way here in the Philippines. We'll be keeping an eye out for possible sightings and regulatory approvals for the new Ioniq 6.
