Toyota calls Ativ as its most affordable HEV
Toyota Motor Philippines is setting up the most-awaited model launch of 2025, and they’re starting to bring the noise.
The automaker has announced that the all-new Vios Ativ HEV is now open for early reservations, ahead of its October 2025 rollout. As it is in pre-sale, Toyota has yet to announce the prices of the upcoming electrified subcompact sedan.

Despite the case, Toyota says the Ativ HEV will be their most affordable hybrid offering once it is launched, based on their social media post. Currently, their cheapest HEV is the base Corolla Cross 1.8 G that retails for PHP 1,514,000. The Yaris Cross, which shares its hybrid power unit with the Ativ, retails for PHP 1,610,000.
When Toyota says “most affordable”, we definitely think there will be a big price gap with the Corolla Cross. We think the Ativ HEV could be priced at around PHP 1.2 to 1.3 million. In fact, they may even surprise us and price it lower, bringing the fight to the BYD Seal 5 Premium, which retails for PHP 1,198,000.
The Ativ HEV has recently been listed as a recognized hybrid by the DOE, which makes it benefit from being exempt from the number coding, and also gets cheaper registration fees on LTO based on the EVIDA law.
This will be an interesting couple of weeks for the developments regarding the launch of the all-new Vios Ativ HEV, so stay tuned for further updates.
