BMW appears to be working on an M version of the all-new iX3
Last month, BMW officially took the covers off the all-new iX3 EV. It became the first-ever BMW to sport the brand’s Neue Klasse design language, which will serve as the new corporate look of the German automaker. With the ability to cover up to 800 km and generate 469 PS with 645 Nm of torque, the all-new iX3 is touted to be one of BMW’s most powerful EVs yet.
But if you thought BMW is done testing powerful EVs, our spies managed to spot what could be the all-new iX3 M. Recently sighted at the Nurburgring, our spy photographers managed to spot a prototype iX3 that features a camouflage livery. It’s also worth noting that it has production lights fitted, albeit they have a slightly different look compared to the regular iX3 that was revealed earlier this year.

We also cannot help but notice what looks to be a ventilated hood, which is something that’s not present on the all-new iX3. This could mean it will have improved cooling to handle the extra performance. Other notable features include larger tires, perforated disc brakes that somehow highlight its M credentials, and a more aggressive-looking rear.

BMW has yet to officially confirm if there will be an iX3 M. But given that BMW is testing a camouflaged prototype that has bigger disc brakes and a more aggressive exterior, we won’t be surprised if the automaker is already busy testing one. After all, our spies also managed to take pictures of the yet-to-be-revealed M3 EV, which could be called the i3 M once it debuts.

No official output figures have been revealed yet, but since the M3 EV will reportedly generate up to 1,360 PS (base version could produce 700 PS), we’re curious if the rumored iX3 M will also be available with such power under the hood.
