Get a free smartwatch when you reserve a Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM

After posting several teaser photos of its latest plug-in hybrid (PHEV), Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) has announced that reservation books for the T1 Lightning i-DM are now open.

That’s right, those who plan on getting Jetour’s newest plug-in hybrid can reserve early and get some neat freebies from JAPI. Customers who book early can enjoy special privileges and even receive a free Jetour smartwatch when they purchase a brand new T1 Lightning i-DM.

The exact features of the smartwatch are not yet available. However, an insider told us recently that the smartwatch can remotely start the T1 Lightning, which can be quite handy. We also won’t be surprised if the smartwatch can control certain aspects and functions of the T1 Lightning remotely.

Just like other electrified Jetour vehicles, the T1 Lightning i-DM is exempt from the number coding scheme thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will also have a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for a safer and more secure drive while on the road. Last but not least, the T1 Lightning i-DM is covered by the brand’s 1 million kilometer/6-year warranty (whichever comes first), a 10-year engine warranty, and an 8-year/150,000 km battery warranty (whichever comes first).

As mentioned before, the T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV for the Philippine market will most likely get a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 142 PS with 290 Nm of torque. It is then assisted by an electric motor that puts out 204 PS with 310 Nm and could be powered by a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery, which could give it up to 117 km of EV range based on the WLTC cycle. With both the engine and electric system in play, however, it has a claimed combined system range of up to 1,000 km.

With reservations for the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM now open, perhaps we’re only a couple of weeks away from the big reveal. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we won’t have to wait too long for the launch.
