Jetour Auto PH drops teaser photos of T1 Lightning plug-in hybrid
After confirming that it will arrive in the “ber” months of 2025, receiving regulatory approval, and being recognized as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) by the Department of Energy (DOE) a few months ago, Jetour Auto Philippines is set to launch its latest electrified vehicle very soon.
That’s right, the T1 Lightning i-DM PHEV has officially been confirmed by Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) and is set to make its debut soon. This comes after JAPI posted several teaser photos of the plug-in hybrid crossover SUV on social media.

Despite not calling it directly by its name, the teaser photos show the T1 Lightning i-DM in what appears to be a photoshoot and going off-road. More importantly, JAPI shared the pictures with a caption that says “Redefining what ONE can do”, which alludes to the vehicle’s T1 nomenclature. Since the teaser photos look local, perhaps the first batch of the T1 Lightning PHEVs is already in the country.
The exact specifications are not yet available at this time. But based on what the DOE listed several months ago, the Jetour T1 Lightning for the Philippines will measure 4705mm long, 1967mm wide, and 1843mm tall. It will also likely have a 1.5L turbocharged engine that makes 142 PS with 290 Nm of torque and an electric motor that delivers 204 PS with 310 Nm of pull.

A 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack may be fitted as standard, which will give the Jetour T1 an electric range of up to 117 km based on the WLTC cycle. Last but not least, it has a claimed combined range of up to 1,000 km.
With JAPI busy posting teasers for the month of October, perhaps the automaker will reveal the T1 Lightning i-DM later this month. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed, our guess will be right.
