PGA Cars Inc. debuts all-new 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid, limited-run 911 Turbo 50 Years
Exactly one year ago, Porsche surprised the motoring world when it revealed the first-ever electrified 911. Featuring the T-Hybrid powertrain, the sports car that made the Stuttgart-based brand known the world over aims to reinvent itself in the electrified world without losing its roots.
Fast forward to May 2025, PGA Cars Inc. has officially launched the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid. Combining the best features of forced induction and electrification, the 2025 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid is Porsche’s way of delivering enhanced performance while also emitting fewer carbon emissions.

Powering the 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid is a 3.6L turbocharged flat-six engine that’s assisted by an electric motor and a 1.9 kWh battery pack. The six-cylinder engine alone already makes an impressive 485 HP and 570 Nm of torque. But thanks to an electric motor that provides an additional 54 HP and 150 Nm of torque, the 911 GTS Hybrid delivers a combined 541 HP and a healthy 610 Nm of torque.
While it’s no 911 Turbo, the 911 GTS Hybrid is no slowpoke as it can dash to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3 seconds flat and reach a top speed of 312 km/h. Power is sent to an 8-speed Porsche PDK gearbox. In comparison, the 911 Turbo can catapult itself from 0 - 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and achieve a top speed of 320 km/h.

Besides having one heck of a flat-six, the 911 GTS Hybrid also benefits from rear-axle steering, which provides a better turning circle as well as a more stable ride at high speeds. It also comes with the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control anti-roll stabilization system, a variable damper system, and a lowered ride height for improved agility.

Making the 911 GTS Hybrid standout are its five vertical cooling air flaps, which are exclusive only to this particular model. Not only do they provide a bit of eye-candy, but they also serve a vital role in directing airflow towards the radiators for engine cooling, as well as for better aerodynamics. It’s also equipped with the brand’s latest HD matrix LED headlights that can illuminate the road up to 600 meters on high beam mode.

Hop inside, and the 911 GTS (along with the rest of the 2025 model year range) now comes with a fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster. The curved display features an elegant design and offers up to seven views, including a classic display inspired by the five-tube original Porsche dials from yesteryear. Also present is a 10.9-inch Porsche Communication Management System (PCMS) that now comes with a QR code for faster pairing of Apple CarPlay. Even better is the fact that apps like Spotify and Apple Music can now be used as native apps in the PCMS.

Also making its presence felt is the limited edition Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years. From its namesake, the special edition 911 is the brand’s way of commemorating 50 years since the introduction of the 911 Turbo. Only 1,974 examples will be made in reflection of the year Porsche first launched a boosted version of the iconic sports car.

Using a 992-generation model as a base, the 911 Turbo 50 Years comes with a special 50th anniversary badge, a vinyl sticker from the original 911 RSR Turbo, and an exclusive color dubbed “Turbonite” that’s featured on the engine cover, fuel tank cap, and Porsche crest.

Open the doors and the 911 Turbo 50 Years welcomes the lucky few who can buy one with the iconic McKenzie tartan pattern. Also present are the Turbo 50 logos on the seat headrests and glove compartment to remind would-be owners they are in something special. Last but not least, the seat belts, contrast stitching, cabin controls, and the Porsche crest on the steering are finished in Turbonite.

Under the hood, the 911 Turbo 50 Years is powered by a (you guessed it) 3.7L twin-turbo flat-six that generates 650 HP and 800 Nm of torque. Mated to a quick-shifting 8-speed PDK gearbox and AWD, the special edition 911 can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, 0 - 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds, and can reach a hair-raising 330 km/h top speed.
With the Porsche 911 showing it can stand the test of time, we won’t be surprised to see the 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid on Philippine roads soon.
