LTFRB issues 1-year suspension to OWTO, LEGGO, GET Express
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has announced that it has suspended three Transport Network Companies (TNCs) for one year due to violations of franchise conditions.
LTFRB Chairperson, Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II said that the decision was issued after Leggo Information Technology Solutions, Get Express Global Corporation, and Ipara Technology and Solutions, Inc. (OWTO) failed to respond to the Show Cause Order (SCO) issued against them for non-compliance with regulations governing ride-hailing services in the country.

“They were given all the chance to respond and explain the violations they committed, but they failed to do so. This is what happens when you ignore or disregard legal notices from the LTFRB, you will suffer the consequences of your action,” said Mendoza.
According to LTFRB, the violation stemmed from the absence of active, internet-based digital technology for their partners and clients. Although the three companies were each issued separate SCOs, the LTFRB received no response, prompting the agency to suspend their operations for at least one year.
“The decision is part of the LTFRB’s authority to regulate public land transportation services and to enforce compliance with its rules and orders, including the authority to suspend or cancel authorizations and impose regulatory measures for the protection of the riding public,” added Mendoza.
Mendoza also urged the public, particularly commuters and ride-hailing service applicants, not to engage with the three companies while the suspension is in effect. Appropriate advisories have already been issued to inform the public of the LTFRB’s decision.
“The public is likewise advised to exercise caution and to verify the regulatory status of service providers before engaging their services.”
