GAC PH to start accepting orders of 2026 GS8 HEV this March

In case you missed it, the GAC brand has already transitioned its business model in the Philippines from a distributor to a direct subsidiary.

With the company now positioned to provide faster parts availability, more efficient aftersales support, and closer coordination across its nationwide dealer network, GAC International Philippines is on a mission to reinforce customer confidence during this new phase of operations.

That said, one of their key models in the Philippines is getting its dose of electrification as well. The GAC GS8 HEV has been previewed in the brand’s dealer conference, which promises to deliver improved fuel efficiency without compromising performance, and still deliver high levels of comfort and luxury.

The seven-seater still has a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder under the hood, but is now complemented by a pair of electric motors. Other specifications are still under wraps, along with the pricing.

However, GAC won’t be making us wait long for the GS8 hybrid anymore, as the brand says the hybrid SUV is expected to be available to accept orders as early as March 2026. If our crystal ball makes the right prediction, the GS8 HEV could be one of GAC’s main displays at the upcoming 2026 Manila International Auto Show.
