Mitsubishi Motors PH is confident with the Xforce crossover

Earlier today, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) officially launched the all-new Xforce – signaling the brand's entry into the B-SUV arena. Mitsubishi's newest crossover starts at PHP 1.367 million for the entry-level GLS while the range-topping GT variant is selling for PHP 1.581 million.

With MMPC looking to make a statement in the B-SUV market, we're curious about how many units the automaker plans to sell monthly. During a press conference after the reveal of the Xforce, we asked MMPC just that.

To our surprise, newly-appointed MMPC president & CEO Ritsu Imaeda shared that they target to sell a total of 7,000 units of the Xforce for its first fiscal year. Since it's already July and the fiscal year Mitsubishi follows runs from April 2024 to March 2025, Imaeda stated that he is confident they will be able to achieve their goal.

“On our fiscal year which is April to March, we are aiming to sell 7,000 units. We are having positive feedback from our dealer partners and the crossover suits the Philippine market. That's why we are pretty confident with the Xforce,” shared Imaeda.

The automaker also shared they have already deployed 1,000 units across the country. This means that starting today, dealerships will begin releasing Xforce units to their customers.

With two variants available for the local market, do you think Mitsubishi will be able to achieve its 7,000 unit sales for the Xforce for its first year? Let us know what you think.
