Mitsubishi Xforce B-SUV will start at PHP 1.367 million

After several sightings, teasers, and press releases, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has released the variants, prices, and features of the 2024 Xforce. Serving as the brand’s B-SUV offering, the Mitsubishi Xforce will take on the likes of the Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HR-V, Nissan Kicks e-Power, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Creta, among others.

The Xforce itself will be making its official debut in July. However, the automaker has decided to release all you need to know about Mitsubishi’s latest offering. For starters, there will be a total of two variants available; the GLS and the top-of-the-line GT. Both variants will be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine derived from the Xpander.

Dubbed the 4A91, the inline-four makes a humble 105 PS at 6000 rpm along with 141 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. Power is then shifted to a CVT that drives the front wheels. While it may share the same engine as its MPV sibling, the Xforce benefits from selectable drive modes; Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud which makes for taking on uneven terrain with ease despite being only a 2WD crossover. It also gets the tried-and-tested Active Yaw Control (AYC) derived from Mitsubishi’s expertise in rally racing for extra confidence while on the road.

Size-wise, the Xforce measures 4390mm long, 1810mm wide, 1660mm tall, and has a 2650mm wheelbase. It also has a minimum ground clearance of 193mm and its curb weight hovers between 1235 kg to 1250 kg. Both the GT and GLS variants also come with disc brakes on all corners, 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/50 series tires, LED headlights & foglights, power-folding side mirrors, and beefier shock absorbers to better cope with Philippine roads.

Step inside and the Xforce greets occupants into a high-tech and sleek cabin. All variants are equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has Bluetooth and USB connectivity available. Just like our ASEAN neighbors, the PH-spec Xforce also comes with an 8-speaker sound system courtesy of Yamaha.

When it comes to safety, all models of the Mitsubishi Xforce come with a reverse camera, active stability & traction control, hill-start assist, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist. This gives the crossover smart driving features such as forward collision mitigation, blind-spot warning, rear-cross traffic alert, automatic high beam, a tire pressure monitoring system, and lead car departure notification.
