Mitsubishi PH releases statement after PH government resolves CARS Program funding

Yesterday, the Philippine government announced it has found a resolution to fulfill its commitments to participating car manufacturers and auto parts makers who are part of the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) Program.

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) says the government will now settle its dues to CARS Program participants with the use of government savings from 2025, particularly from the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH).

Following this development, participants of the said program, such as Toyota Motor Philippines and the Philippine Parts Makers Association (PPMA), have released statements, welcoming the government's efforts to resolve the funding issue. Even the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) gave thanks to the Philippine government for resolving the funding issue as quickly as possible.

Now, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has also released its own statement after the CARS Program funding issue was resolved. The automaker expressed sincere gratitude to the Philippine government for finding ways to secure funding for the aforementioned program. MMPC is also grateful to Department of Finance Secretary (DOF) Frederick Go for leading the initiative, as well as to the Department of Budget & Management (DBM) and Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) for their coordination in ensuring the program's commitments are fulfilled.

With it, MMPC remains dedicated to delivering quality vehicles to customers and stakeholders. More importantly, MMPC said that it will continue to maintain a responsible presence in the Philippines, support communities, contribute to the economy, and uphold its role in the country's development.
