Lexus PH now accepting pre-orders for 2024 LBX Hybrid

Remember when Lexus Philippines teased an all-new vehicle last week? At the time, the luxury marque has yet to say what exactly they will be launching on March 18, 2024. But based on that teaser photo they dropped, the mystery vehicle looks like the all-new LBX.
Fast forward to the present day and Lexus Philippines has officially announced that they will indeed be launching the 2024 LBX two weeks from now. Even better is the fact that the automaker announced that they are now accepting pre-orders at Lexus Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Those that will pre-order will get a chance to receive their brand-new LBX as soon as possible as customer deliveries will begin starting March 18.
Official specifications have yet to be revealed by the luxury brand. However, they did confirm that the LBX will be powered by a self-charging hybrid powertrain that will deliver great fuel economy and low emissions. That means it will likely come with a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated three-cylinder engine that's assisted by an electric motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery.
Once launched, we can expect the electrified crossover to produce 136 PS with 185 Nm of torque. Power is then routed to the front wheels via an eCVT. In terms of size, the LBX will likely measure 4160mm long, 1825mm wide, 1560mm tall, and will have a 2580mm wheelbase. This will make the LBX the smallest crossover from Lexus yet after the UX and NX.
Even though it will be Lexus PH's smallest offering, it will still come with high-tech features that include the Lexus Safety System +. This will give the LBX intelligent driver aids such as a pre-collision system, dynamic radar cruise control (AKA adaptive cruise control), lane tracing assist with lane-keep assist, a driver monitoring system, front & rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree panoramic view monitor, and a blind-spot monitoring system.
Other features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and intelligent voice control will likely be standard equipment in the 2024 LBX.
