Supposed patent images/sketches of next-gen Toyota Hilux leaked
It was at the start of the year when we first saw images of what could be the all-new Toyota Hilux. Spotted by our friends over in Thailand, the next-generation pickup truck was spotted on public roads not once, but twice.
Despite Toyota's best efforts to hide its look, the camouflaged pickup could get a redesigned front end along with a revamped tailgate. In addition, the wheel arches could also get some changes, as they too are covered with a camouflage livery.
It's already been months, and there have been no new sightings of the (supposedly) all-new Toyota Hilux. Perhaps after it was seen on public roads, the automaker decided to continue testing at a private test track to keep prying eyes away. However, there's been a new leak and it's our best look yet at the next-generation pickup.

Recently, leaked images of what could be patent images/sketches of the all-new Hilux's exterior and interior made their way to the web. Beginning with the former, the patent image somehow looks similar to the camouflaged pickup we saw earlier this year. Despite the livery hiding most of the front fascia, it's quite easy to spot what appear to be sleeker LED headlights and the more dynamic-looking front bumper and grille.
We have yet to see the rear in full, but based on the image, it looks like the all-new Hilux will get a redesigned tailgate along with new LED taillights. It's also worth mentioning that Toyota appears to have taken a page from the Ford Ranger T6.2, as there's now a corner step just behind the rear wheels for easier access to the bed.

Aside from the exterior, a patent image/sketch of the Hilux's all-new interior was also leaked. From the looks of it, the interior will get a major redesign, as it will feature a more futuristic cabin. Based on the design, it appears the Hilux will get a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument panel, a revamped center console, a new HVAC panel, and sleeker aircon vents.
Toyota has remained tight-lipped about the next-generation Hilux, but given that leaks are starting to pop up, perhaps the automaker is already busy with the final design and specifications. Hopefully, we can expect Toyota to launch the all-new Hilux sometime later this year, just before 2025 ends. After all, the current generation pickup truck has been with us for over a decade now, and it's due for a full model change.
