New pictures of the Toyota Hilux Travo revealed, anew

After being spotted on public roads yesterday in Thailand, new images of what could be the next-generation Toyota Hilux recently hit the web. Based on the new photos our friends over at headlightmag took, the camouflaged pickup truck will have a blend of new and current design cues.

While the pickup truck remains mostly camouflaged, it's quite clear that Toyota will give the all-new Hilux a redesign. We already saw the changes on the front fascia which will give the pickup truck a sleeker appearance.

Now it's time to check out what changes it will have in the back. Despite the camo livery still hiding most of the rear, it's quite apparent the Hilux Travo will get some changes. Based on what we can make out, the taillights will get a new look while the tailgate could get a sleek redesign. Even the rear bumper and the wheel arches appear to have a slight revision.

But just like yesterday's sighting, it appears the cab itself will remain the same as the outgoing generation. We're not entirely sure as to why Toyota took this approach although the automaker could have gone for the “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” route. Alternatively, the automaker could still be using a prototype based on the current generation albeit wearing the next-generation's new front and rear-end designs.

With the eighth-generation Hilux already a decade old, it's no surprise that Toyota is already busy with what could be the all-new pickup truck. In fact, the Hilux Travo is expected to make its debut in Thailand around the second half of 2025. We'll be keeping our fingers crossed we won't have to wait for a long time for its eventual reveal.
