Hyundai Motor PH to launch a bold and new addition in its lineup before end of May

Despite launching the brand-new Elantra at the recently concluded 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) is not slowing down, as the automaker is set to reveal yet another new vehicle.

Recently, we received an invitation for an upcoming vehicle launch from Hyundai Motor Philippines. The invitation read that the new vehicle will be a “new and bold addition” to Hyundai's lineup in the country. We also noticed it gets a unique set of LED headlights and daytime running lights, as well as an N-Line badge on the grille.

After doing some digging and research, it looks like HMPH is gearing up to reveal the refreshed Creta in the country, complete with the N-Line variant. As of this writing, the automaker is keeping its cards close to its chest. But a quick look at what the Indonesian market gets has given us a good idea of what to expect.

First launched in Southeast Asia earlier this year, the 2025 Hyundai Creta received a major redesign courtesy of a Palisade-inspired makeover. Thanks to the Sensuous Sportiness design language, the 2025 Creta features a boxier and more rugged appearance along with a bolder front fascia that consists of new LED daytime running lights and quad-beam LED headlights.

The rear also gets a design change as it now gets a more upright tailgate design and new full-width LED taillights. But for those who want a flashier-looking crossover SUV, the Creta N-Line comes with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels and unique bumpers that give the vehicle a sportier look.

Like the exterior, Hyundai was also busy redesigning the interior of the 2025 Creta. Both the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system are now integrated to make for a seamless display. Meanwhile, the center stack has been restyled and comes with plenty of buttons and dials for the climate control – a stark difference from other brands that use touch-based controls.

Other key changes include a new gear selector, a redesigned steering wheel, full-leather upholstery, a Bose sound system (higher-grade variants only), and red accents throughout the interior, which is exclusive only for the N-Line variant.

Under the hood, the 2025 Creta is available with either a 1.5L Smartstream naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine that makes 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via the brand's Intelligent Variable Transmission or IVT. We're also hoping HMPH brings the 1.5L Smarstream Turbo GDi inline-four, which generates 160 PS with 253 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

With the launch set just before the end of May, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new updates regarding Hyundai's latest addition.
