Chery’s subcompact crossover now known as Tiggo Touring

Chery Auto Philippines started to move away from identifying its Tiggo models through numbers last year.

The Tiggo 5x is now known as the Tiggo Cross, the Tiggo 8’s variants have become the Tiggo Grand Tour and the Tiggo rEV, and for their smallest crossover in the lineup, the Tiggo 2 Pro, is now known as the Tiggo Touring.

The rename for the latter flew under the radar, as it was simply part of Chery Auto Philippines’ new naming strategy which aims to create a stronger, more consistent model identity and a more recognizable branding. In the spec sheets and in the metal, however, the Tiggo Touring is still very much identical to the Tiggo 2 Pro.

Available in both CVT and 5-speed manual transmission variants, the new Tiggo Touring is powered by a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that delivers 116 PS and 143 Nm of torque.

Some of the features on the outside include halogen headlights, satin silver roof rails, LED daytime running lights, and 16” alloy wheels in a gunmetal finish. On the inside, there’s a 10.25” touchscreen with wireless apple carplay and android auto, a combination of analog and 3.5” multi information display on the instrument cluster, and 60:40 split rear seats with 3 adjustable headrests.

The Chery Tiggo Touring starts at PHP 698,000 for the 5-speed manual variant, while the CVT version has an SRP of 818,000, but is currently being offered for PHP 768,000 until February 28, 2026.
