GWM is ready to reveal the Haval H9 SUV on February 4
After being previewed at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), GWM Philippines is ready to launch its turbo-diesel 7-seater SUV.
Set to take on the likes of the Land Cruiser Prado is the GWM Haval H9, which will be launched by the brand on February 4, 2026. According to GWM, the Haval H9 is a globally engineered SUV that's designed to deliver true off-road capability, advanced safety, and everyday comfort built for Filipino families who value adventure and reliability.
The GWM Haval H9 stands as one of the brand’s most extensively developed and tested SUVs. It was tested across some of the world's harshest environments, including the rainforests of Brazil, the mountainous roads of Australia, the deserts of the Middle East, and the snow-covered terrains of Russia. This ensures the vehicle's durability, adaptability, and confidence across diverse driving conditions.

Beyond that, the Haval H9 has also undergone extensive fine-tuning and testing to ensure it meets the unique driving conditions and expectations of the Philippine market. The SUV itself was built and developed in-house, with over 70% in-house integration, including the engine, transmission, batteries, and key vehicle systems.
Official specifications have yet to be revealed, but based on what they previewed last year (and from an LTO Memorandum Circular), the Haval H9 will come with a 2.4L turbo-diesel engine that's shared with the refreshed Cannon pickup. It makes 186 PS with 480 Nm of torque and is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It also has a BorgWarner torque-on-demand intelligent 4WD system that comes with multiple modes when going off-road.

Inside, the Haval H9 will have a 2+3+2 seating layout with high-quality leather upholstery on the seats. There's also a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, and many more.
In terms of exterior dimensions, the Haval H9 will measure 4950mm long, 1976mm wide, and 1930mm tall. It also has a 2850mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 224mm. Last but not least, it comes with 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 265/55 series tires.
Watch out for the Haval H9's big reveal next week on February 4, 2026.
