XForce HEV spotted in Thailand
Last year, the XForce signaled Mitsubishi’s return to the ever-competitive B-segment crossover category. Packing a trick drive mode system, premium audio courtesy of Yamaha, and a comprehensive list of ADAS features for the top-spec variant, the Xforce was indeed a promising model going forward for the Philippine market.
However, apart from MMPC’s struggles with pricing, the XForce lacked something that its competitors have – it was either a turbocharged mill or an electrified version. For 2025, it looks like it’s about to change.
A camouflaged example of the Xforce was spotted in Thailand, and reports say this could very well be the electrified version of the 5-seater crossover. While exact specifications are yet to be confirmed, reports say the Xforce HEV could also have a different hybrid powertrain instead of the e:Motion hybrid of the Xpander and Xpander Cross that it was based on.

For the exterior, the Xforce HEV looks to have a different design for its 18-inch wheels. There’s a cover on the wheel spokes which could help reduce turbulence and streamline the Xforce’s aerodynamics to cut through the air better and help with fuel economy. Meanwhile, the rest of the body looks to be similar to the non-hybrid units that we have in the country.
According to a local Thai auto website, much like the Xpander and Xpander Cross HEV last year, Mitsubishi Thailand is set to make the XForce HEV its main highlight for this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show happening in March 2025.
