The funky-looking Kia EV2 is set to be revealed in Europe on January 2026
The EV market may be experiencing a slowdown as of late, but that hasn’t stopped Kia from releasing new electric vehicles. Remember when the Korean automaker revealed the EV2 concept earlier this year? Well, the concept car will become a production vehicle starting next year.
That’s right, the funky-looking EV2 has been confirmed for production, and Kia has revealed the first teaser images. The electric B-SUV is destined for Europe and will make its official debut at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show on January 9.

Based on the teaser photos Kia has released, the production version of the EV2 will closely follow the design of the concept. Despite the veil still covering the vehicle, it’s quite apparent Kia made some slight changes to the EV2’s looks.
For starters, the LED taillights have been redesigned and now feature a Sonet-inspired design. It also comes with the brand’s now familiar “Star Map” lighting signature, which is now a common design feature on almost every Kia. The result is a more prominent front fascia thanks to the eye-catching LED headlights and daytime running lights. We also expect to see Kia’s “Opposites United” design language throughout the vehicle.

"With the EV2, we reaffirm our commitment to make electric mobility truly accessible to a broader audience - without compromise. This compact SUV delivers the innovation and the spirit of our larger EVs while fitting seamlessly into the everyday life in Europe. Designed, developed, and soon-to-be-produced in Europe, we are confident that the EV2 will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of responsible mobility across the region," said Marc Hedrich, president & CEO of Kia Europe.
With the EV3 and EV5 already available in some markets in Asia, we’re curious if the Kia EV2 would eventually make its way here. It would make for a great alternative to the likes of the Sonet, which still has an internal combustion engine. But with the EV5 already on its way to the Philippine market, all we can do for now is wait and see.
