Next-generation Dodge Attitude for Mexico will be based on the Empow sports sedan
Believe it or not, there are still automakers that badge engineer cars in certain markets around the world. Take for example Dodge which sells the Attitude – a subcompact sedan based on two different vehicles in each generation.
In its first iteration, the Dodge Attitude was based on the third and fourth-generation Hyundai Accent. Then from January 2015 onwards, Dodge based the next Attitude from the Mitsubishi Mirage G4. After nearly a decade of utilizing the platform and running gear of the Mirage G4, the Dodge Attitude will undergo yet another transformation.

Set to make its debut soon in Mexico is the all-new 2025 Dodge Attitude, and this time it will be based on the GAC Empow. That's right, the subcompact sedan will become a compact sports sedan complete with a 1.5L turbocharged engine. Despite the shadowy teaser image hiding most of the vehicle, it's quite clear the next-generation Attitude will be a rebadged version of the Empow we get here in the Philippines.
From the distinct LED headlights to the sporty front bumper as well as the massive lower air intake, you can clearly see the Empow's features. Since the sedan is marketed as the Attitude, the Empow trades the GAC logo for the signature Dodge emblem on the front grille.

Other features have yet to be revealed by the brand but we won't be surprised if it will get the same 1.5L turbocharged inline-four as the Empow. That means we can expect the sedan to produce 177 PS with 270 Nm of torque. Power will then be saddled to a 7-speed wet-type dual-clutch gearbox.
When it comes to features, we can expect the Empow-based Attitude to get a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone automatic climate control, sport leather seats, and push-button start.

With its debut imminent, we certainly cannot wait to see the Empow-based Attitude in full once Dodge unveils it.
