Denza B5 and D9 plug-in hybrid models get LTO homologation papers
Last month, Denza Philippines officially made its presence felt after it announced its first dealer partners in the country. They also previewed some of the models they will be launching initially in the country soon. These include the B5, the B8, and the D9, which are all plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and are set to take a slice of the premium market.
The official brand launch is scheduled to take place soon, and we may finally see the full specifications and prices of Denza's initial lineup. Heck, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has just homologated two of Denza's upcoming vehicles for the Philippine market.

Based on newly-released memorandum circulars, the LTO has cleared the B5 SUV and the D9 minivan. Both are categorized as PHEVs and are powered by a 1497cc gasoline engine that's assisted by electric motors. The B5 has a maximum electric power of 485 kW or 680 PS, while the D9 is listed to generate 215 kW or 292 PS. Both Denza vehicles are also equipped with a lithium-iron phosphate battery that gives them an electric range of up to 180 km on a full charge.
When it comes to recharging, both the B5 and D9 can be recharged from 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes with a fast DC charger. On the other hand, an AC charger can recharge both vehicles from 0 – 100% between 5 and 7 hours.

Size-wise, the B5 measures 4888mm long, 1970mm wide, 1920mm tall, and has a 2800mm wheelbase. The D9, meanwhile, is 5250mm long, 1960mm wide, 1920mm tall, and has a longer 3100mm wheelbase. Both Denza models come with 18-inch alloy wheels, with the B5 equipped with 265/65 series tires, while the D9 gets 235/65 series rubber.
With both the B5 and D9 Denza vehicles already cleared by the LTO, their official launch could happen very soon. We're hoping Denza Philippines reveals the prices of its new premium PHEVs soon.
