Nissan Navara with new interior coming sometime after June 2024

When Nissan Philippines launched the facelifted Navara in early 2021, we were impressed. The new look (especially the Pro-4X) was a nice update. The bed, suspension, the feature upgrades were nice, so much so that for a little while I regretted getting a 2020 VL.

There was, however, one upgrade they didn’t make: the interior.

Yes, the new seats are nicer, especially for the passengers in the back, but the dashboard -the thing that every driver and passenger end up looking at while in traffic- remained largely the same. That’s about to change as Nissan Philippines is preparing an updated Navara model range with a fresher interior. And yes, the dashboard will be swapped out.

The updated interior will basically feature the dashboard that customers of the Nissan Terra have already been getting since late 2021. Yes, Navara customers have had to wait quite a while for this upgrade.

We received this confirmation from an insider who told us that the Navara will be getting an update this year. Sales agents have already been posting about the incoming upgrades to the Navara, but we had to wait for the confirmation to be sure.

There will be no mechanical upgrades from what we understand. The strange thing is that the Navara with the new dashboard is still unavailable in Thailand; the current site still features the older interior that we have been familiar with since 2015.

Based on what we've been told, the VL, Calibre X, and Pro4X versions will be getting the new dashboard with soft-touch materials as well as the new center console. The infotainment unit will be a higher resolution 9” system similar to the Terra, and it will get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation (to be confirmed). It is unclear whether the Navara will be getting the same colorway as the Terra with the red dash accent, but we think Nissan will go for a different styling, at least with the Pro-4X variants.

The VE versions will get the new dashboard but will likely have harder plastics on some parts. We’re not quite sure yet what the infotainment unit will be on that version. The base models, however, will be getting the current dashboard; meaning no major changes.

We’ve been told that Nissan has already finished their existing stocks of the Navara, so the next batch with the upgraded interior is coming sometime in June.
