Honda Cars PH open reservations for 2024 City Hatchback update
Remember when Honda revealed the 2024 City Hatchback facelift earlier this year? After making its regional debut in Thailand last February, Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) has announced the pre-order books are now officially open.
That’s right, the updated five-door version of the City is set to be launched soon and the automaker is now accepting reservations. With it, the 2024 City Hatchback will now come with Honda Sensing as standard along with exterior & interior updates.

Beginning with the Honda Sensing upgrade, the City Hatchback will be fitted with the following intelligent driver aids. These include; adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane-keeping assist, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, and lead car departure notification.
The exact exterior updates have not yet been revealed. However, we won’t be surprised if it will look similar to what the Thai-spec City Hatchback looks like. That means the RS variant will get a sportier look courtesy of a new honeycomb-style grille at the front, a lower grille that protrudes more than the pre-update version, as well as restyled foglight housings. Last but not least, the City Hatcback could get a new side skirt, a new diffuser in the back, and new gloss black alloy wheels that can be found in the sedan version.

For color choices, the 2024 City Hatchback will be available in Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl. There’s also a new shade exclusive to the 2024 model year update called Sonic Gray Pearl.
Inside, the cabin will most likely be carried over but will come with a new leather-wrapped steering wheel with buttons for the Honda Sensing system. In addition, HCPI has confirmed the 2024 City Hatchback will get a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android for easier pairing of mobile devices.

Under the hood, don’t expect the PH-spec City Hatchback to get either the 1.0-liter VTEC Turbo or the 1.5-liter e:HEV four-cylinder that’s available in Thailand. Instead, we will most likely get the carried-over 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC inline-four that makes 121 PS with 145 Nm of torque. Power will then be sent to a CVT complete with paddle shifters.
Those interested in reserving the new 2024 City Hatchback can visit their nearest Honda dealer to put down a reservation. A PHP 5,000 reservation fee is required although HCPI did say that the reservation fee will be waived from May 14, 2024, to June 13, 2024. The official reveal of the 2024 Honda City Hatchback will happen on June 14.
