Goodbye Forte, Hello Kia K4
Kia is embracing its new design philosophy in a big way. While we've already seen their new design language in other models like the EV6, EV9, refreshed Carnival & Seltos, as well as the all-new Sportage, the design of their sedans has remained quite sedate...until now.
Feast your eyes on the all-new Kia K4 – our first look at the successor of the Forte compact sedan. Featuring the brand's now-familiar “Opposites United” design philosophy, the sedan comes with modern and unique body shapes along with a futuristic design that evokes a bolder and more aggressive look.

Borrowing inspiration from the likes of the EV9, EV6, and the Carnival, the stylish compact sedan gets a sharp set of LED headlights & taillights that are both eye-catching and sleek. The unorthodox approach of the designers has also lent the vehicle to have a sharp look without compromising the standard design of a four-door sedan.
The K4 also comes with a coupe-like rear end thanks to the thick D-pillars and window-mounted rear door handles. The result is a vehicle that looks straight out of the digital world of Cyberpunk 2077. Last but not least, the K4 features a distinct set of LED taillights that reflect the design of the headlights.

Besides giving us a good look at its exterior, Kia also showed us the interior of the 2024 K4. It gets a driver-oriented cabin that is both high-tech and cozy. But instead of the usual format of having the screens and instruments angled towards the driver, Kia opted to use a bold graphic split to separate the driver and front passenger.
On the dashboard, there's a fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system which have become the norm in most interior designs. However, there are still some parts of the cabin that stick to tradition. For starters, the gear selector features a T-bar design instead of a rotary-style switch which has started to become a more common sight.

In addition, certain functions of the HVAC system can be done with physical buttons which is a stark contrast with some automakers that bury the climate control system in the touchscreen. There are buttons as well present on the doors and center console which is refreshing to see. This proves that for Kia, you can embrace the high-tech future while still adhering to tried-and-tested designs.
There will also be various seating trims and colors for the 2024 K4. These include; Medium Gray, Slate Green, Canyon Brown, and Onyx Black. Combined with the K4's sleek new interior, the compact sedan not only looks good on the outside but also on the inside.
Powertrain details about the Kia K4 are not yet available. However, the automaker will reveal everything at this year's New York International Auto Show which will open to the public on March 27. With the 2024 Kia K4 set to make its public debut soon, could we see this all-new sedan replace the Forte in the Philippines?
