The 2024 CX-5 range now shares the same updated KODO design language first seen in the AWD Turbo, consisting of a three-dimensional grille with a signature wing design, redesigned front and rear bumpers, plus restyled LED headlights and taillights.

Exterior-wise, what sets each variant apart now from each other are the wheel designs, and the color of the cladding. The 2.0L Sport has 17-inch wheels finished in silver metallic, while the 2.5L AWD Sport gets 19-inch diamond cut alloys. Meanwhile, the 2.5L AWD Turbo retains its 19-inch wheels in a bright silver aluminum finish. The 2.0L Sport and 2.5L AWD Sport have their claddings in black, while the 2.5L AWD Turbo has body-paint-matched claddings.

All variants also feature a 10-way power adjustment for the driver's seat and a 6-way power adjustment for the front passenger seat. In addition, the 2.5L AWD Turbo gets standard front seat ventilation. As for its interior trim, the seats are finished in black leather with orange stitching on the 2.0L Sport and 2.5L AWD Sport variants, while the 2.5L AWD Turbo gets deep red Nappa leather seats. Lastly, an electric sunroof is available on the 2.5L AWD Sport and 2.5L AWD Turbo variants.

Engine-wise, the 2024 Mazda CX-5 is available with three engine choices. The 2.0L Sport is powered by the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine with 155 PS at 6,000 rpm and 200 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The 2.5L AWD Sport bumps up to 190 PS at 6,000 rpm and 252 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Finally, the 2.5L AWD Turbo’s Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine still makes it the most powerful offering in its class with up to 253 PS at 5,000 rpm and 434 Nm from as low as 2,000 rpm. All engines are mated to the proven six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic with paddle shifters.

On the 2.5L AWD Sport and 2.5L AWD Turbo, the Mazda CX-5 has the i-Activ All-Wheel Drive system to enhance safety and improve drivability. The system provides valuable grip on all four wheels as needed over a variety of surfaces, without the penalty of increased fuel consumption as found in mechanical AWD systems. Furthermore, it has Off-Road Traction Assist that maximizes available traction by reducing power and applying brakes to the spinning wheels to help the vehicle regain grip.

The updated 2024 Mazda CX-5 lineup starts at PHP 1,950,000 for the 2.0L Sport, PHP 2,050,000 for the 2.5L AWD Sport, and PHP 2,430,000 for the top-of-the-line 2.5L AWD Turbo.
