The cars, SUVs, and trucks that star at this year's Motul Manila Auto Salon and Sport Truck Show
The 2024 Motul Manila Auto Salon and Sport Truck Show opened last Thursday, November 14, and will run until this Sunday, November 17, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Organized by Tradeshow International, the show certainly has a lot in store for all car enthusiasts.
On its 28th edition as the evolution from the Custom Car Show, the Manila Auto Salon and 29th Sport Truck Show continue to embody the true spirit of automotive customization and modification. It showcases local craftsmanship and unique talent when conceptualizing and executing car show-winning builds. This explains why the best tuner and custom shops specifically choose the show to unveil their latest builds. This well-built, 90's era Corolla 'Big Body' by Sleek Auto Spa perfectly exemplifies and meets the show's standards regarding build quality and overall theme.

A visually exciting display of exotic supercars took center stage at the Motul Pavillion, which included several of Ms. Angie King’s latest builds such as her uniquely different, off-road RWB, dubbed as “Murasaki Shikibu”. With a winch at the front and back, paired with off-road tires and ample ground clearance, its a one of a kind, stylish off-roader/Dakar Style build.

Horsepower is the name of the game this year, as a lot of the entries sported fully-built engines, with insane levels of power. From the much-awaited Supra, the turbocharged powerplants of Rebstoration using popular Honda platforms, to a host of popular tuner cars such as Miatas and GR Yaris, there was definitely something for every enthusiast.

Keith Bryan Haw of Import Hookup showcased his best builds to the show, filling their space with extreme custom builds such as a heavily modified BMW M4 art car by renowned artist Ronald Ventura. Using the entire car as his canvas, he laid on several layers of paint with different patterns to come up with this unique artwork. Sharing the same space were a modded JCW Mini, Lamborghini, Porsche, G-Wagen, and an all-white, custom, Ferrari 348.

But it’s not just about cars as the show also features outstanding off-road rigs. The custom Land Cruiser 80, of 199 Off-Road house is something worth seeing. Sporting a Toyota V8 engine swap for more power, this has a custom suspension setup with portal axles and serious off-road tires. Thus, making it into one high and mighty off-roader, ready for any outdoor trail.

For overlanding enthusiasts, Joel Pedro of Overland Kings unveiled his latest, all-new Land Cruiser Prado by turning it into a luxury overlander designed for high-fashion golf clubs and rugged outdoor adventures. It features a custom rear cargo setup to store all your Golfing gear, plus a whiskey bar to celebrate those hole-in-one moments. It's not just for looks either as it comes ready for any outdoor adventure with the latest gear from roof racks to the roof-mounted tent.

Always bringing something new to the automotive scene, "Banawe Boy" brought out their dropped and bagged Honda Orthia. Riding on a set of rare and discontinued Boyd's billet wheels, designed by the late American Hot Rod builder Boyd Coddington and fitted with neon striping, it invokes a cool, retro-vibe feel that never fails to catch anyone's attention at the show.

Something you don't see every day on the streets, this 6-wheeler Toyota pickup from Rebstoration features a flawless, custom blue paint job with the familiar ultra-large, PCD TE-37 wheels by Rays with matching off-road tires. Now that's how a custom pickup should be done.

That’s just a sampling of the must-see vehicles at the show, like this green Lamborghini and Ferrari Pista and there are plenty more to see. But it wouldn’t be complete without visiting the bustling aftermarket section. Here you will find the latest aftermarket automotive products. From car care, tools, lubricants, tires, and even die-cast cars, it’s definitely automotive nirvana for any car enthusiast.
