AMG One laps the ‘Ring in 6:29.09
Mercedes-AMG’s Formula One car for the road is only for the select few. But even so, it has all the right to be named a production vehicle. Thus, the car qualifies to go for a record that every leading performance brand wants to get – the fastest Nurburgring Nordschleife lap.

As expected, Mercedes-AMG did it on their first attempt two years ago. Now with better conditions, Mercedes-AMG had another go at the Green Hell with the One hypercar and smashed its record from 2022. Mercedes-AMG driver Maro Engel recorded a 6:29.090 lap time – some 15 seconds clear of the AMG GT Black Series and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Here’s the video to see how fast the 6:29 lap is:
The Mercedes-AMG One hypercar is the first road car to breach the 6:30 mark in the Nurburgring. With one combustion engine and four electric motors, the E Performance hybrid delivers a total of 782 kW (1,063 PS), with the top speed capped at 352 km/h.

“We’ve held the record for road vehicles for almost two years now. But at AMG, we always want to push the boundaries of what is possible to the maximum or even push them a little further. That’s why we have once again demonstrated what is possible with the unique AMG ONE. The entire team has been rewarded for its efforts and commitment. I’m proud of this determined team effort and of this fantastic record time. Once again, we’ve impressively demonstrated the spirit and expertise of AMG.” Said Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes‑AMG GmbH and Head of the Mercedes‑Benz G‑Class & Mercedes‑Maybach divisions.
