Here's everything you need to know about the Toyota GR Corolla for PH

After several teasers and sightings, Toyota Motor Philippines has officially taken the covers off its newest hot hatch. Joining the likes of the GR Yaris is the 2026 GR Corolla, and it offers plenty of performance, features, and more.

Starting with what's under the hood, the GR Corolla is powered by the brand's 1.6L G16E-GTS turbocharged three-cylinder engine. It's the same engine that can be found in the GR Yaris and makes 300 PS at 6000 rpm, along with 400 Nm of torque between 3250 and 4600 rpm. Like the upgraded GR Yaris, the GR Corolla comes with the GR Four AWD system, along with two transmission choices: the good ol' six-speed manual and the new 8-speed Direct Automatic Transmission (DAT) that's geared for performance.

The new 8-speed automatic has four modes available: Sport, Normal, Eco, and Custom. Toyota also claims the 8-speed DAT has similar transmission gear ratios to those of a six-speed manual while still preserving the ability of the 8-speed to cruise on the highway when not being driven spiritedly.

Size-wise, the GR Corolla measures 4408mm long, 1851mm wide, and 1479mm tall. It also has 120mm of ground clearance and a 2640mm wheelbase. It can also seat a total of five people and has plenty of luggage space in the back.

The GR Corolla is equipped with LED Bi-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated side mirrors, sleek LED taillights, GR badges, and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires that measure 235/40.

Hop inside, and the GR Corolla welcomes occupants into a sporty interior with leather-suede sport seats and 60:40 split rear seats.

Other features of the cabin include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, push-button start, a GR leather-wrapped steering wheel, Toyota Safety Sense ADAS features, dual-zone climate control, and sport aluminum pedals.

The 2026 Toyota GR Corolla is available in two variants and retails at the following prices:

GR Corolla 1.6 Turbo M/T – PHP 3.811 million

GR Corolla 1.6 Turbo A/T – PHP 3.955 million
