TOM'S takes a Toyota Century and gave it their own interior and exterior styling elements
For a company so closely associated with high performance and motorsports, it’s refreshing to see it take on specialized projects that showcase a different side of its expertise.

I’m referring to TOM'S Racing, the official high-performance tuning partner of Toyota and Lexus. Most recently, they’ve taken the Toyota Century, Japan’s ultimate symbol of elegance and status, and combined it with their own styling elements.

The latest TOM’S-tuned Century blends refined luxury with a sporty, streetwise attitude, turning the traditionally understated sedan into a subtle VIP/Tuner Style car that still respects its majestic roots.

Exterior Refinements
The Century’s exterior is sharpened with TOM’S signature touches, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a subtle trunk spoiler. Together, these elements lend the stately sedan a more assertive edge.

Each component is meticulously handcrafted using a molding technique known as hand layup, underscoring the brand’s attention to detail. At the rear, a pair of dual TOM’S Barrel Exhaust tips adds a refined visual flourish, along with a subtle hint of growl.

While a set of reimagined TOM’S Igeta-style wheels would have also suited the design, they ditched the Century’s oversized concept wheels with BBS RZ-D forged alloy wheels.

Avaialble in 19 to 20 inches and crafted from lightweight zinc-magnesium. Options include, diamond black, silver, or glossy black finishes, each enhancing the Century’s refined and dignified presence.

Interior Opulence
Inside, the TOM’S Edition keeps the luxury intact while elevating tactile quality. Seats, door cards, and armrests are cloaked in quilted Nappa leather, offered in black or white.

The luxury cabin strikes a balance between refinement and purpose, ideal for those who desire comfort and sophistication without sacrificing a distinctive edge.

Conversion Process
TOM’S Racing selects only used Century sedans in pristine condition, free from structural damage or previous repairs. Each car undergoes careful inspection at TOM’S Gotemba facility, where worn components are cleaned or replaced. After conversion, cars are re-inspected at a Toyota dealer, ensuring the remainder of the factory warranty is preserved.

Assertive Powertrain
Even though they could pump more horsepower and torque, the standard 5.0-liter, V8 hybrid remains untouched, producing 425 PS and 510 Nm of torque. Suspension and brakes are retained, maintaining the legendary smooth ride and braking feel the Century is known for. TOM’S upgrades are about presence, not brute force.

Premium Exclusivity
A full TOM’S conversion runs about JPY 30.2 million or around PHP 11.14 million, while a modification package for existing Century owners is priced at JPY 9.57 million or about PHP 3.53 million. For comparison, the refreshed 2026 Toyota Century starts at around JPY 23 million or around PHP 8.48 million, placing a significant premium on TOM’S exclusivity. More than statement cars, these finely tuned sedans are collectible icons of Japanese luxury.

TOM’S Complete Car
TOM’S Racing shows that even Japan’s most stately luxury sedan can gain personality without losing sophistication. The Century TOM’S Complete Car is a subtle reinvention, blending prestige, individuality, and a touch of swagger, and its limited production all but guarantees future collector appeal.
