The Highlander is set to have a Subaru twin

Toyota has recently launched the all-new, and all-electric Highlander for the North American market. But it turns out, the new three-row electric SUV will not just come off Toyota dealerships soon, it will also be present in Subaru’s showrooms in the US.
That’s right. The ToyoBaru connection continues as Subaru will expand its all-electric lineup in the US by reskinning, and rebadging the fifth-generation Toyota Highlander. This makes the yet-to-be named three-row electric SUV the 4th Subaru EV offered in the US that’s based from Toyota models.
Subaru already has the bZ4X-based Solterra, the C-HR based Uncharted, and the bZ Woodland-based Trailseeker in its EV lineup. But later in the year, the Highlander-based Subaru EV offers something that’s larger and a bit more family-focused, bringing Subaru's US EV lineup total to four.
As for the design, Subaru has adventure in its DNA so their own version could look a bit more rugged than the Highlander. With an available AWD powertrain, we can also expect Subaru to cop that and add drive modes like X-Mode to handle more challenging terrain.
The unnamed Subaru three-row electric SUV, along with the rumored Lexus variant of the Highlander, will all be built in Kentucky at Toyota’s Georgetown factory.
