BMW iX4 will be the all-new iX3's sleeker-looking sibling

A few months ago, just before the holidays, our spies managed to take pictures of the BMW iX4. That's right, the all-new X4 will also be available as an EV via the iX4. It will likely be based on the next-generation iX3, which was revealed last year and will serve as the sleeker-looking sibling.

At the time our spies first spotted it, the iX4 was being transported somewhere in Europe. Now, our spy photographers were able to catch the iX4 once more, this time being driven somewhere in the Old Continent.

Like the vehicle that was spotted last year, the camouflaged iX4 looks the same as before. However, we're now able to get a better look at the EV from all directions. Like the iX3, the iX4 will feature a similar front fascia design, which now features the brand's Neue Klasse design. The result is a more avant-garde look for the EV, complete with the signature LED headlights and lighting signatures.

Since it will have a sleeker design, the iX4 will have a coupe-inspired profile just like the X6. However, the iX4 will have a more aerodynamic rear, which appears to have been inspired by the Tesla Model Y. But unlike the iX3, it looks like the iX4 will have its own unique set of LED taillights. Also worth mentioning about the iX4 is the integrated spoiler on the tailgate, the sloping roofline, and the two-tone alloy wheels.

Details about the iX4's electric powertrain and battery are not yet available. But since it will likely be based on the iX3, we won't be surprised if it has similar power outputs and range. With that, perhaps we can expect the BMW iX4 to have a range of up to 800 km and generate up to 469 PS in its most powerful version.

With the iX4 seemingly ready for mass production, we won't be surprised if BMW decides to hold its launch later this year. The only question now is, will the new iX4 be launched before the next-generation 3 Series?
