Mystery Audi A2/Q2 prototype has been sighted once more
Last month, our spies managed to take pictures of what could be the all-new Audi A2/Q2. What first started life as an MPV (A2) and as a crossover (Q2) may be coming back as a fully electric vehicle (EV), which could slot below the Q4 e-tron.
Fast forward to November, our spy photographers were able to spot the mystery Audi A2/Q2 once more, this time being driven at the Nurburgring. Thanks to the recent sighting, it looks like the mystery vehicle is looking a lot more like the A2 of yesteryear, albeit with some modern styling elements.

Based on the new photos our spies managed to take, the A2/Q2 e-tron appears to take on the form of a hatchback. It also has a sloping roofline and what appears to be a distinct tailgate at the back that gives it an upright-looking rear.

Its exact powertrain specification continues to elude us. However, our spies speculated that on a full charge, the Audi A2/Q2 e-tron could deliver between 520 and 720 km on a full charge. Its platform could be based on the Volkswagen MEB+, which may give it the ability to have a charge rate of up to 150 kW. In just 30 minutes, the battery could be recharged to 80%.

For now, Audi is not yet announcing any details with regards to this particular vehicle. But with Audi looking to build more e-tron models, the all-new A2/Q2 could prove to be a popular choice for those who want a small premium EV, complete with the Audi badge.
