Ford PH increases availability of Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 due to popular demand
Ford surprised everyone at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) when they launched the Range Raptor 3.0L V6. With that, Filipino buyers who wanted to get a Ranger Raptor but not with a bi-turbo diesel engine can get it with the EcoBoost V6.
However, it was initially sold in limited quantities as only 300 units were brought into the country when it was launched at PIMS 2024. However, due to an increase in customer demand, Ford Philippines has announced that they have increased its availability and will now be a mainstay in the brand’s local lineup.
That’s right, due to overwhelming demand, Ford has decided to make the V6-powered halo pickup truck a permanent addition to the brand’s lineup in the country. This was confirmed by none other than Pedro Simoes, the new Managing Director of Ford Philippines.
“Due to the overwhelming demand from our customers, we are excited to announce that the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 will now be a permanent addition to our performance vehicle portfolio. The Raptor 3.0L V6 is a personal favorite, and I can’t wait for more customers to experience its exceptional power and unmatched versatility,” said Simoes.
Originally meant to be just a limited edition offering of the Ranger Raptor, the V6-powered version quickly became one of the brand’s most popular vehicles. It has drawn both customers and enthusiasts who wish to buy an EcoBoost-powered version of the Blue Oval’s halo pickup truck in the Philippines.
Unlike the bi-turbo diesel version which already makes an impressive 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque, the 3.0L V6 version makes more with 397 PS and a whopping 583 Nm of pull. Power is then sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission complete with a two-speed transfer case, front & rear locking differentials, and selectable drive modes including ‘Baja’.
