Sim racing cockpit for that authentic F1 feel

Unlike real-life motorsports, sim racing does not require a huge investment to do well. In fact, the great thing about it is you can enjoy the thrill of motorsports even when you’re sitting on a monoblock chair.

But for those who seek that authentic feel of being behind the wheel of a race car, Playseat’s new official F1-branded sim racing cockpit might be one to consider.

Produced in collaboration with Formula 1, Playseat claims the new Formula Intelligence F1 Edition racing cockpit aims to “deliver a true-to-life racing experience that rivals the intensity of the track”.

Built using anodized aluminum and flow-formed carbon steel tubing, the new Playseat rig gives the ergonomics and sensation of being in an F1 cockpit. The driving position is also fully adjustable to accommodate sim racers ranging from Yuki Tsunoda to George Russell proportions, as it comes with pre-drilled base plates for the mounts on the steering wheel, pedals, and display panel.

It’s likewise compatible for use in a wide range of direct drive and force feedback wheels and pedals being used for PC applications, as well as consoles such as Playstation and Xbox.

The new Playseat Formula Intelligence F1 Edition sells for USD 2,500, around PHP 142K in the current exchange rates. Definitely not “budget meal”, but if you have the means, why not right?
