Ford PH officially reveals 7th generation Mustang, to be available next month

Ford Philippines is celebrating the pony car's 60th birthday in a big way. While they already released the specs, variants, and prices of the all-new Mustang last month, they have yet to launch the actual vehicle.

Fast forward a couple of months later, Ford Philippines officially debuted the all-new 7th generation Mustang in the country. Making its debut in the Philippines just in time for the pony car's 60th anniversary, the all-new Mustang 7th generation Ford Mustang (codenamed the S650) gets plenty of upgrades both inside and out.

For starters, it gets the sleek and aggressive evolutionary styling that gives it a more discerning look. From the wide grille & eye-catching LED headlights to the raking roofline & signature LED taillights, the pony car continues to be a looker in every direction. Massive 19-inch alloys fill the wheel wells of the Mustang and since this is the GT version, the front gets 255/40/R19 tires while the rear comes with 275/40/ZR19 rubber. On the other hand, the EcoBoost variant comes with 255/40/ZR19 tires on all four corners.

When it comes to features, it's equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a magnesium-framed 13-inch SYNC4 touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, Recaro leather seats, and a wireless charging pad.

Under the hood, the 2024 Mustang is available with two engine choices. First up is the improved 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that now generates 493 PS and a healthy 567 Nm of torque at 4850 rpm. The EcoBoost version gets a new 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 319 PS and 475 Nm of torque at 3000 rpm.

Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters and a limited-slip differential. Other key features present in the Mustang GT are massive Brembo brakes and a Magneride damping system.

For peace of mind, all variants of the Mustang come with the intelligent Pro Pilot system that gives the pony car smart driving aids like adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-centering assist, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and more.

Those who were able to reserve as early as February 22 will be able to get their units this month. Official availability (and upcoming deliveries) of the 2024 Mustang will start next month.
