Designed for both gasoline and diesel-powered engines, the new Power SUV lubricant is formulated for the latest generation of downsized turbocharged engines with direct injection systems. Developed with the API SP standard, it guarantees perfect integrity against abnormal combustion and is backward compatible with API SN requirements and all former API standards.

Downsized direct injection turbo engines sometimes have a tendency to experience LSPI (low-speed pre-ignition) which is a spontaneous ignition of the fuel/air mixture before the spark-triggered ignition. If not attended, this can cause pressure spikes, loud knocks, and even catastrophic damage.
Fortunately, the new Power SUV lubricant from Motul comes with API SP standard and adds more protection against the LSPI phenomenon.
