Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia drops teaser for upcoming launch at 2025 GIIAS
Remember when Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) revealed the DST Concept at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) last year? The striking concept bears some resemblance to the XForce but looks sleeker and more dynamic than the B-SUV. Moreover, Mitsubishi billed the DST Concept as a 7-seater compact SUV with a unibody construction.
So far, MMPC has remained tight-lipped about the DST Concept. But based on our previous report, the production version could be called the Destinator, as Mitsubishi has already registered the supposed name in the country as early as October 13, 2022.

Fast forward a couple of weeks, and it looks like we can expect the Mitsubishi Destinator to make its official debut. However, it won't be launched here just yet. Instead, the Destinator will likely be launched first in Indonesia. This comes after Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia released a teaser image of an upcoming launch at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show.
Based on the teaser image the automaker recently released, Mitsubishi is set to unveil something with the tagline “Ready To Uncover Your Next Destination?”. On that teaser alone, it looks like the DST Concept may indeed transform into the rumored Mitsubishi Destinator.

Other details are not yet available as of this time, but what we do know is that it will have three rows of seats, it will be front-wheel drive, and it will have five drive modes available. The exact engine specifications are still a mystery, although we won't be surprised if it is turbocharged or electrified.
With the 2025 GIIAS set to open on July 24, 2025, we're exactly one month away from Mitsubishi revealing the mystery vehicle in full. The only question now is, will it actually be called the Mitsubishi Destinator, and could it still be built locally for the Philippine market?
