GWM PH brings a trio of electrified model at 2026 Manila International Auto Show
GWM Philippines pulled one heck of a surprise at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. After posting a teaser photo about it earlier this week, GWM revealed not one, not two, but three upcoming vehicles for the Philippine market.
Say hello to the GWM Ora 05, the Tank 700 Hi4-Z, and the Haval H7 Hi4, the brand’s latest trio of electrified models. Representing the brand’s EV and PHEV plans in the not-so-distant future, the three vehicles highlight GWM’s next generation of electrified mobility.

Starting with the GWM Ora 05, it’s a battery electric vehicle (BEV) that serves as an electric crossover. It succeeds the Ora 03 hatchback but gets the same stylish & quirky exterior design. From the round LED headlights to the distinct tailgate, as well as the signature “cat design” profile, the Ora 05 has bags of character, just like the Ora 03.
Official specifications have yet to be revealed, but the Ora 05 BEV in other markets comes with a single electric motor that puts out 204 PS. Two battery packs are available in the Ora 05 BEV: 63.87 kWh and 83.49 kWh. This gives the Ora 05 BEV a range of 555-705 km based on the CLTC cycle.
Up next is the mighty Tank 700 Hi4-Z, a frame-based 4x4 that benefits from a PHEV powertrain. Not only does it look imposing, but this SUV is capable of going over any terrain thanks to its intelligent 4WD system with locking differentials, various drive modes, and the ability to cover long distances without using a drop of fuel. Local specifications are not yet available, but a quick look at what other markets get has given us a good idea of what to expect.

At the heart of the Tank 700 Hi4-Z is a 2.0L turbocharged engine that’s assisted by a pair of electric motors (one on each axle). This gives the plug-in SUV a combined system output of 900 PS and 1,195 Nm of torque. The electric motors get their power from a 59.05 kWh battery pack, which gives the Tank 700 the ability to cover up to 190 km on battery power alone. When paired with a full tank of gasoline, the Tank 700 PHEV has a combined range of up to 1,191 km.
Last but certainly not least is the Haval H7 PHEV. This boxy crossover SUV combines rugged looks with an electrified turbocharged powertrain, which is aimed at customers who want a vehicle that can go the distance without having to worry about range anxiety compared to EV SUVs. Its Defender-like exterior, combined with its dual electric motors, allows for off-road capability without sacrificing electrification.
Powering the Haval H7 is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder and dual electric motors, which deliver a combined 449 PS and 750 Nm of torque. It also has a 35.43 kWh battery pack, which gives the crossover SUV an EV range of up to 151 km. With a full tank of fuel, GWM says the Haval H7 PHEV can travel for more than 1,000 km. Combined with its intelligent 4WD system, the Haval H7 can also cover any type of terrain with ease.

"We are seeing a strong response to GWM’s direction. One that focuses on innovation, efficiency, and real-world usability. This reinforces our commitment to continue listening to the market and delivering solutions that truly matter to Filipino drivers," said Dax Avenido, Brand Head of GWM Philippines.
The Haval H7 is now available for pre-order, while the Ora 05 BEV is set to be officially launched within the year. There's no timeline yet for the Tank 700.
Beyond the vehicle showcase, visitors can also look forward to exclusive MIAS offers and special promotions, along with exciting on-ground activities at the GWM booth, making every visit both engaging and rewarding.
