Omoda Jaecoo launches J7 SHS, will start below PHP 1.7M
After officially launching the brand earlier this year, Omoda Jaecoo Philippines has expanded its lineup of electrified vehicles. Making its official debut at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is the Jaecoo J7 SHS.
Debuting the brand's Super Hybrid System, the 2025 J7 SHS serves as the brand's compact crossover that has its sights set on the likes of the BYD Sealion 6 DM-i PHEV. At the heart of the Jaecoo J7 is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 142 PS and 215 Nm of pull. It is then helped along by an electric motor that generates 204 PS with 310 Nm of torque and is powered by an 18.3 kWh battery pack.
This gives the J7 SHS a combined system output of 346 PS and a generous 525 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to the wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Jaecoo says the J7 PHEV can cover more than 1,200 km on a full tank and a fully charged battery. On battery power alone, the J7 PHEV is estimated to travel up to 90 km without using a drop of fuel.

However, the automaker was able to achieve a total distance of 1,488.8 km on a full tank and a single charge. This was done during the Automobile Association of the Philippines' (AAP) Verification Range Test last February 2025. It was also able to travel up to 106 km without using fuel in electric mode.
Recharging the J7 via a fast 40kW DC charger can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. A 6.6 kW AC charger, meanwhile, can recharge the J7 SHS from 25% to 100% in around 2.5 hours. A 230V home socket charger can re-energize the battery from 25% to 100% in around 10 hours. Last but not least, the J7 supports a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that supports 3.3 kW of power.
As for its dimensions, the J7 measures 4500mm long, 1865mm wide, 1670mm tall, along with a 2672mm wheelbase. The crossover also features a distinct front grille, eye-catching LED daytime running lights, stylish alloy wheels, a sloping roofline, a two-tone exterior paint finish, and sleek LED taillights.

Hop aboard, and the J7 welcomes you into a tech-laden cabin. At the center of the dashboard is a huge 14.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Not only does it manage the vehicle's onboard systems, but it also comes with plenty of in-car amenities like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, online navigation, a wireless charging pad, and a 540-degree camera system. It also has an intelligent voice control which can be activated by saying "Hello, Jaecoo".
Other features present in the J7 SHS include a column shifter, full leather upholstery, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tire pressure monitoring system, a power sunroof, and ventilated seats.

For extra peace of mind, the Jaecoo J7 SHS comes with an extensive list of intelligent driver aids that are part of its advanced driver assist system (ADAS). This gives the crossover smart driving features such as adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, front collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, lane-keeping assist, rear-cross traffic alert, rear collision warning, intelligent headlights, and a driver monitoring system.
The first batch of J7 SHS units will arrive in May 2025 and will be offered in two distinct variants: Comfort and Premium. More importantly, both models will be priced under PHP 1.7 million which will directly compete with the BYD Sealion 6 while offering more features and range.
Customers who are interested in reserving one may do so by pre-ordering the J7 SHS at the following Omoda Jaecoo dealerships: Manila, Pasig, Alabang, Sta. Rosa, Cebu City, and Tagum City.
