Mazda PH gives CX-60 subtle but important upgrades
Mazda Philippines distributor Bermaz Auto opens the New Year with the launch of the 2026 CX-60. Featuring a comprehensive suite of updates that enhance its comfort and performance, the refreshed CX-60 builds on the crossover's class-leading style, quality, and refinement that has made it one of the most cutting edge vehicle's in Mazda's lineup and philosophy.
“Since its launch in the Philippines, more than 800 CX-60 SUVs have been sold. This makes the Philippines the largest market for the CX-60 in Asia outside of Japan, a testament to it being well-received by Filipino buyers. The new CX-60 enriches that by offering new refinements, making it even more unmatched in every way. These are much more than skin-deep, and is part of our commitment to continuous improvement,” said Steven Tan, president & CEO of Mazda Philippines.

Instead of giving it an exterior makeover, Mazda Philippines focused on giving it better road manners and smoother power delivery. Let's start with the CX-60's suspension, which Mazda claims complements the vehicle's Large Vehicle Platform. The rear suspension now has softer rear springs and new bump stops for improved road compliance. Meanwhile, the dampers get increased rebound rates, which translate to better vertical motion.
The front suspension, meanwhile, gets dampers with firmer compression rates and relocated front knuckle mounts for improved stability, especially on rough roads. Last but not least are recalibrated steering and stability systems that also improve overall balance, claims Mazda.

The 8-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission was also given attention, as it now comes with improvements on clutch control and hydraulic valve components. The result is an even smoother and more responsive combustion engine to electric motor transitions, along with a wider gear range for the best balance in enjoyable driving dynamics and environmental performance.
Besides giving the CX-60 mechanical upgrades, Mazda also set new standards for interior quality, design, and technology. New on the CX-60 are additional refinements to its already impressive Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) deadening.

It now comes with thicker & denser sound-insulating material on the dashboard with increased coverage that now includes the upper cowl. The same material is also applied to the trunk side trim, which has increased sound insulation coverage compared to before. There's also a new steering column joint and reinforced doors, which reduce unwanted interior vibrations.
As before, three main displays are present inside the CX-60. These include a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, and a 10.4-inch heads-up display for the driver. Meanwhile, the Mazda Commander Control knob on the center console has been optimally positioned for a more ergonomic operation, with the user's arm resting comfortably on the center armrest.

Other key features present inside the 2026 CX-60 include: facial recognition to remember each driver's preferences (up to six different users, plus guests), front seat ventilation, a wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and Nappa Leather seats for both the Turbo and Turbo-D variants.
Under the hood, the CX-60 continues to be offered with two 3.3L turbocharged e-SkyActiv inline-six engines. These are the 3.3L e-SkyActiv-G that puts out 284 PS with 450 Nm of torque and the 3.3L e-SkyActiv-D that delivers 254 PS and 550 Nm of torque. Both engines benefit from Mazda Hybrid Technology that uses a 48V hybrid system with a lithium-ion battery pack.

Available colors for the 2026 Mazda CX-60 include three Takuminuri colors: Rhodium White Premium, Soul Red Crystal, and Machine Gray. The other available hues are Jet Black, Sonic Silver, Platinum Quartz, and Deep Crystal Blue.
