Making the streets of Banawe safer for everyone

Turnover ceremonies of Banawe Police Outpost to Galas Police Sattion 11

To protect those who transact or do business within the Banawe area as well as deter theft and robbery, the Quezon City Automotive Surplus Dealers Association (QC-ASDA) recently held a turnover ceremony of their newly constructed Banawe Police Outpost to the Galas Police Station 11. Present during the ceremony was Mr. Romulo N. Limpiada Jr. QC-ASDA President, PCol Melecio M. Buslig Jr. acting District Director QCPD and PLTCol Joseph DM Dela Cruz, Station Commander, Galas Police Station 11 and other police officers.

Strategically located along the corner of Banawe and Cardiz Street, Brgy Tatalon, Quezon City, the Police Outpost will operate 24/7 and will be staffed by two to four police officers. According to the PNP-QCPD, the police outpost should elicit a profoundly positive impact on crime prevention within the area and nearby areas of responsibility. Its strategic location will allow for quicker response times to emergencies and increased police visibility deterring any potential criminal activities.

This community safety undertaking was initiated by the QC-ASDA to instill a permanent police presence within the area. As we all know, there are times when unscrupulous individuals take advantage of customers who are not familiar with the area. This also serves not just for the safety of everyone who frequent the area for their varied automotive needs and services, but to thwart attempted theft and break-ins from the shops themselves. Apart from the turnover, certificates of appreciation were also awarded by PCol Melecio M. Buslig to QC-ASDA President Romulo Limpiada Jr., Brgy. Tatalon Chairman Rodel Lobo and Brgy. Dona Josefa Chairman Josephine Osa Salinas.

QC-ASDA President Romulo N. Limpiada Jr. has this to say, “This outpost will enhance police visibility and easier for customers and shop owners to report any complaints, scams or crimes. Not just in Banawe, but in other nearby barangays as well. We can expect faster response times, should a need arise for police assistance. One of the main goals of the QC-ASDA is to maintain a peaceful and fair business environment for everyone, whether it’s selling spare/surplus parts, car accessories or providing automotive service. Rest assured, we at QC-ASDA and help of the PNP-QCPD will strive to make Banawe cleaner and safer for our clients, together with the cooperation of our members and legitimate shop/store owners.”
