Third-generation Toyota Fortuner has supposedly been spotted again in Thailand

Social media was buzzing yesterday when what looked to be the third-generation Toyota Fortuner was spotted in Thailand. Despite only getting to see the camouflaged rear, it’s quite apparent that the all-new midsize SUV will get a redesign. After all, it’s been more than a decade since the second-generation model was revealed, and the Fortuner is due for a full model change.

Now, a new picture of the supposedly all-new Fortuner has surfaced, and this time we get to see its face. Just like what we saw yesterday, the vehicle is still covered in a camouflage livery. However, the front fascia can be seen, and we currently like what we’re seeing.

Based on what we can see at the moment, the next-generation Fortuner will get a completely new look that appears to have been inspired by the ninth-generation Toyota Hilux that debuted last year. Immediately grabbing our attention is the new grille that sits lower, along with the redesigned LED headlights & daytime running lights.

We also noticed what appears to be a pair of faux side intakes on the front bumper, along with a central intake that sits below the central grille. The rest of the vehicle remains a mystery, but based on this new image alone, we might only be several weeks away from the official launch of the all-new Toyota Fortuner.

The 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) is slated to happen near the end of March, which means Toyota still has time to iron out any issues or kinks of the next-generation SUV. We’ll be curious to know if the all-new SUV will be powered solely by the 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbo-diesel, just like the latest Hilux. Heck, we’re also curious to know if the Fortuner will be available as an EV since the all-new Hilux is available as one.

Here’s to hoping Toyota does reveal the third-generation Fortuner at this year’s BIMS.
