Nissan-based Mitsubishi Versa Van spotted being transported in the Philippines

Remember when the LTO released a Memorandum Circular last year that confirmed Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) would be bringing back the Versa Van? Unlike the van from yesteryear, the all-new people carrier will now be based on the Nissan NV350 Urvan and will be powered by a 2488cc turbo-diesel engine, which is the 2.5L YD25DDti.

Fast forward to 2026, and it looks like MMPC is gearing up for its local launch very soon. This comes after the all-new Mitsubishi Versa Van was recently spotted being transported on local roads. Based on the picture taken by a social media user who is part of the Nissan NV350 Philippines Group, the Versa Van looks just like the NV350 Urvan from which it is based.

The only main difference is that the Mitsubishi van comes with the brand's signature three-diamond logo, as well as the “Versa Van” nameplate seen on the tailgate. Other than that, the rest of the people carrier looks just like the NV350 Urvan.

As mentioned before, it looks like the Versa Van will only be offered in just one variant: the GLX 2.5D 2WD MT. Based on what the LTO released last October 2025, it will be a 15-seater model that will measure 4710mm long, 1695mm wide, 1999mm tall, and will have a 2555mm wheelbase. It will also have 15-inch wheels wrapped in 195/80 series tires and will have a ground clearance of 195mm.

The official pricing has yet to be revealed by MMPC, but based on information we recently received, the Versa Van GLX 2.5D 2WD MT will supposedly retail for PHP 1.649 million. In comparison, the Nissan Urvan 2.5 Standard 15-seater MT currently retails for PHP 1.560 million.

With the all-new Mitsubishi Versa Van already being sighted on Philippine roads, we're curious as to when MMPC plans to launch its newest people carrier in the country. We're keeping our fingers crossed that it happens sooner rather than later.
