Mitsubishi Motors Thailand gives the Xpander HEV one heck of a look
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand is gearing up to reveal the XForce Hybrid next week after they announced they will debut it on March 20, just days before the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show. However, that doesn't mean the automaker has been resting on its laurels.
Mitsubishi Motors Thailand recently took the covers off the Xpander HEV Play which comes with a more eye-catching exterior. The limited edition MPV is available in both the regular and Xpander Cross variants and each comes with its own unique look.

Starting with the regular Xpander HEV Play finished in white, it gets front bumper extensions, larger air intakes, and an integrated splitter which gives it a sportier look. Meanwhile, the grille itself and the grille accents are painted black which neatly contrasts with the white exterior.
Speaking of black, the Xpander HEV Play also comes with black alloy wheels which complement the MPV's more aggressive finish. Last but not least, the MPV gets a black diffuser, a new tailgate spoiler, and clear LED taillights.

Those who want something a bit more rugged while still looking cool can get the Xpander Cross HEV Play. This one also gets neat touches of black accents on the grille and bumpers but comes with its own unique design. Like the regular Xpander HEV Play, the Xpander Cross also comes with side mirror caps, black roof rails, black bumper accents, black grille accents, and clear LED taillights.
The Xpander HEV Play is available in either White Diamond (as seen in the pictures) or Graphite Gray. Meanwhile, the Xpander Cross HEV Play can come with a striking Green Bronze hue as seen in the press images.

No powertrain changes here as the Xpander HEV still comes with a 1.6L hybrid four-cylinder engine that makes 116 PS and 255 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a CVT.
With the Mitsubishi Xpander HEV Play available in Thailand, we're hoping Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation brings a similar edition to the country complete with the brand's new hybrid system. Fingers crossed we'll see it this year.
