2025 Land Rover Defender 130 X P400 now available in the country
The Defender 130 is by far the biggest (roomiest) version of the legendary 4x4. First launched by Land Rover Philippines before the end of 2022, the three-row Defender 130 S D300 comes with seating for eight people and is powered by a torquey 3.0L six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which generates 300 PS and 650 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a permanent 4WD system via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
With a 2+3+3 seat layout, you can pile your big group of friends or even the entire family along with space for some luggage. But what if you wanted a Defender 130 that offered more lounge-like seating, particularly in the middle row? Well, the 4x4 specialist has quietly revealed a new variant in the country and it's already available in the country.

Say hello to the Land Rover Defender 130 X P400 and it's now the priciest version of the three-row 4x4. Unlike the diesel-powered D300, the Defender 130 X is powered by a 3.0L inline-six turbo-gasoline engine that's assisted by a 48V mild-hybrid system. It generates 400 PS between 5500 – 6500 rpm and a whopping 550 Nm of torque from 2000 – 5000 rpm. From a standstill, it can hit 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reach a 191 km/h top speed.
Not bad for a massive SUV that has three rows of seats. But its most important feature can be found inside. Unlike the diesel-powered Defender S D300, the Defender 130 X P400 gets captain seats on the second row. Not only are they the best seats in the house (or in this case SUV) but they also allow for easier ingress and egress for third-row occupants.

Other key features available in the Defender 130 X P400 include a sliding panoramic roof, matrix LED headlights, orange brake calipers, a heads-up display, an 11.4-inch Pivo Pro touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, Ebony suede headlining, Ebony Windsor Leather with Kvadrat Seats, a Meridian premium sound system, 14-way power-adjustable (and heated) seats with memory function, four-zone climate control, and Terrain Response 2.
Looking to get one for yourself? Better have the checkbook ready because it starts at a very cool PHP 17.790 million.
