JMC PH opens second Mindanao dealership in Butuan

Astara PH formally opens JMC Butuan

Astara Philippines continues to expand JMC's presence in the country. After opening its first dealership in Mindanao located in Davao City, the automaker has officially opened its second outlet – JMC Butuan.

Located at Samping’s Place, J.C. Aquino Avenue, Butuan City, JMC Butuan is owned and operated by esteemed multibrand distributor Global Cars Inc. It serves as the second dealership the automaker has formally inaugurated since Astara Philippines relaunched the brand at the Manila International Auto Show last April.

Like JMC Davao, JMC Butuan offers two pickup truck models – the Grand Avenue and the Vigus. The Grand Avenue is powered by a 2.3L turbo-diesel engine that makes 177 PS with 450 Nm of torque and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Amenities include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, and automatic climate control. It's available in 4x4 and 4x2 drivetrains.

The Vigus, on the other hand, serves as the workhorse of the brand and gets a 2.5L turbo-diesel that generates 130 PS with 315 Nm of torque. It is then mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and can come in 4x4 or 4x2 configurations. Billed to handle the rigors of towing and carrying heavy loads while also providing quality service and low-running costs, JMC Vigus is set to offer value for money for those looking at an affordable but reliable pickup truck.

The Grand Avenue begins at PHP 1.221M while the Vigus starts at PHP 959,000.
