Jetour's flagship plug-in hybrid has been recognized by the Dept. of Energy
Last year, Jetour Auto International president Mr. Ke Chuandeng confirmed that the Philippines will get the G700 flagship SUV. Not only is it the biggest vehicle yet from Jetour's lineup, but the G700 is also the largest plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model that's capable of producing over 1,100 Nm of torque.
With Jetour officially confirming the G700, perhaps we can expect the massive SUV to make its debut later this year.
After taking a look at the Department of Energy's (DOE) list of recognized PHEVs, it looks like Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) is already making the necessary preparations for its eventual arrival. Based on the listing, the Jetour G700 will be a 2026 model year vehicle and will measure 5198mm long, 2050mm wide, and 1956mm tall. It will also have a 2870mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 230mm.
Based on the initial specifications we saw, the G700 will be a 6-seater SUV, meaning it could get a pair of captain seats on the second and third rows. It will also have an extensive list of features, which include a power sunroof, wireless charging for mobile devices, keyless entry with remote start, a 360-degree panoramic camera system, and intelligent voice control.

Under the hood, the G700 will come with a 2.0L turbocharged engine that will be assisted by a pair of electric motors and a 34.13 kWh battery pack. The electric motors produce a combined 510 kW or 693 PS, which is impressive.
In other markets, however, the total system output when combined with the internal combustion engine is rated at a staggering 904 PS and 1,135 Nm of torque. Jetour even claimed it can go from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and can travel on electric power for up to 100 km. With both the engine and plug-in hybrid system in play, the G700 can travel up to 1,400 km under ideal conditions.
With the G700 already recognized by the DOE as a PHEV, Jetour Auto Philippines could officially reveal the electrified SUV at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) or earlier.
