Jaguar rolls out final F-Type to end ICE era

The global demand for electric vehicles is dwindling, but Jaguar is intent on going full speed towards full electrification.

After sending off the F-Pace earlier in the year, the iconic British brand has rolled out the final Jaguar F-Type sports car. Made at the Castle Bromwich facility, the special F-Type will join the Jaguar Heritage Collection where it will be placed together with its predecessor, the E-Type.

Packing a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood, the F-Type convertible comes in Giola Green with a black roof and Tan Windsor leather which is similar to the final E-Type Convertible that rolled out of the Jaguar production line 50 years ago.

The F-Type will be remembered as Jaguar’s first two-seat sports car in almost 40 years when it first came out in 2013. It was named the 2013 World Car Design of the Year shortly before the coupe version was released. After 87,731 units of the F-Type, Jaguar has wrapped up the production but will continue to be available until early 2025.

As for the special F-Type, it will reside at the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) at Gaydon.

Jaguar says they are readying a four-door electric GT by next year, which will succeed a long line of ICE models from the British brand.
