That vehicle is the Hyundai Crater Concept, and boy, is it gonna be one heck of a vehicle. Billed by automaker as an extreme off-road show vehicle, the concept is a compact SUV that embodies toughness and capability. With an emphasis on taking on extreme environments, the Crater Concept comes with huge all-terrain tires and a tall suspension setup that's geared for off-road.

It was conceived by Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) in Irvine, California, and has been crafted to amplify the same spirit and robustness of Hyundai's XRT production vehicles like the Ioniq 5 XRT, Santa Cruz XRT, and the Palisade XRT Pro.

Based on what Hyundai has released so far, the Crate Concept appears to be a preview of sorts for an adventure-ready vehicle. Should it become a production vehicle, it could take on the likes of the Ford Bronco or the Jeep Wrangler.

The exact specifications are not yet available, though the Crater Concept features what looks to be a closed-off grille, which could indicate that it's an electrified vehicle. It also has auxiliary lights placed on the roof, a roof rack, cameras that serve as digital side mirrors, skid plates for the front & rear bumpers, aggressive fenders, and pixel lighting for the headlights & taillights.
